Making a Difference at Ricketts Point Landside

Posted 4/28/2022

At every working bee we make a positive difference to the quality of the indigenous vegetation of Ricketts Point Landside.

You can help do this by weeding throughout the year and planting in the colder, wetter months of the year.

Transforming a weeded infested area into a high quality, biodiverse area is well worth the effort and very satisfying.

You will have the opportunity to work beside like minded volunteers, make new friends and learn about indigenous plants and their growing habits.

Our working bees are fully supported by the Council Open Space Service Provider, Citywide, and they provide training and tools.

We invite you to spend up to 2 hours a month working with us to make a difference to our reserve.

Ricketts Point Landside is a Banksia Woodland containing Banksia integrifolia, Casuarina and Eucalyptus trees supported by a biodiverse understorey. It is situated on Beach Rd, Beaumaris at Ricketts Point on the opposite side of the road from the Ricketts Point Teahouse.
