Become a Volunteer English Tutor

The Melbourne Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) through the Volunteer Tutor Scheme (VTS) is recruiting Volunteer Tutors to support newly arrived refugees and migrants living to practice English language skills and navigate life in Australia.

VTS activity occurs either online via digital platforms such as WhatsApp or Zoom or face to face in a public space.

Volunteers commit to meeting with their learner at a mutually convenient time for at least 1 hour a week.

Join the VTS volunteer community to build skills, gain confidence and broaden your networks. All volunteers participate in online training and are assisted in completing formal eligibility checks.  Volunteers receive on-going support through-out with the opportunity to participate in professional development workshops and social events.
